Một số lưu ý sử dụng kho lạnh bảo quản hạt giống

Sử dụng kho lạnh bảo quản hạt giống là phương pháp tối ưu và khoa học nhất. Nhưng để bảo quản đúng cách hạt giống bằng kho lạnh thì không hẳn ai cũng biết.

Bảo quản hạt giống là 1 trong những tiêu chí quan trọng ảnh hưởng trực tiếp đến quá trình nảy mầm của cây cũng như chất lượng cây giống, chất lượng sản phẩm nông sản sau này. Ngày nay nhu cầu để bảo quản cho hạt giống  rất cần thiết cho mọi đơn vị kiểm nghiệm, kinh doanh các giống cây trồng … Không chỉ vậy, hiện nay nhu cầu để bảo quản hạt giống đã tăng lên do nhiều hộ gia đình sản xuất với số hạt giống lượng lớn cũng có nhu cầu về giống cao, họ tự lựa chọn, bảo quản hạt giống từ các vụ trước cho các vụ sau nhưng cách bảo quản này đôi khi còn chưa đúng, khiến cho chất lượng hạt giống bị thay đổi. Bởi vậy, chúng tôi đã đưa ra một số lưu ý khi sử dụng lắp đặt kho lạnh bảo quản hạt giống.

Lắp đặt kho lạnh để bảo quản hạt giống là rất cần thiết – kho lạnh bảo quản thì có rất nhiều kích cỡ phù hợp cho các kho bảo quản hạt giống nhỏ của hộ gia đình, cũng như kho lạnh lớn cho các đơn vị kinh doanh lĩnh vực này. Dưới đây là 1 số lưu ý cho việc bảo quản hạt giống bằng kho lạnh.

  1. Kho lạnh bảo quản hạt giống phải kín không được để cho không khí ra vào, không cho hạt giống tiếp xúc với nhiệt độ ở bên ngoài. Nguyên tác đối với các loại hạt giống là: phơi, sấy khô, đưa độ ẩm mứa thấp nhất có thể. Bảo quản hạt giống ở nơi thoáng khí, với mức nhiệt độ càng thấp càng tốt, nhiệt độ để càng lạnh thì thời gian cho việc bảo quản hạt giống lại càng lâu. Vì điều kiện lạnh trong kho lạnh bảo quản hạt giống sẽ làm hạn chế sự trao đổi chất của hạt và hoạt động của enzim trong hạt làm chậm lại quá trình nảy mầm của hạt. Mỗi loại giống khác nhau sẽ có những quy định, những thông số riêng để bảo quản:
  2. Bảo quản hạt giông có dầu và chất béo, hạt giống sau khi thu hoạch cần đảm bảo độ khô hợp lý để đảm bảo hạt giống tốt nhất. Hạt giống được chọn là những hạt có kích thước đều nhau, mẩy, tỉ lệ nảy mầm cao, sấy ở nhiệt độ 35ᵒC đến 40ᵒC, hạt có độ ẩm khoảng 10 – 11%, tránh hạt hút ẩm trước khi đưa vào kho lạnh. Nhiệt độ bảo quản hợp lý từ 20ᵒC – 22ᵒC, nhiệt độ càng cao làm giảm chất lượng giống.
  3. Bảo quản hạt giống mà chất dự trữ là tinh bột, một loại hạt giống quan trọng là lúa – cây trồng chính ở Việt Nam đem lại thu nhập chính cho người nông dân. Sấy khô ở điều kiện tiêu chuẩn như các hạt khác 35 – 40ᵒC, độ ẩm khoảng 8% hoặc 11 – 12% phụ thuộc vào giống lúa. Hạt giống nên được đựng trong những bao lớn, chum, … tránh tiếp xúc nhiệt trực tiếp. Đặt để cách mặt sàn 40 – 50 cm.
  4. Thời gian bảo quản dài và chất lượng nảy mầm cao, chất lượng cây giống tốt tất cả phụ thuộc vào quá trình bảo quản.

Qua đây chính là một số lưu ý nhỏ cho việc bảo quản hạt giống trong kho lạnh. Do đó cần phải chú ý bảo quản hạt giống một đúng cách nhất để đảm bảo có được chất lượng tốt nhất cho hạt giống ở các vụ mùa.
