Khoa học đã chứng minh sữa là một trong những thức ăn hoàn chỉnh nhất cho trẻ đang tuổi lớn; sữa có hơn 400 dưỡng chất quan trọng với tỉ lệ cân đối giúp cung cấp năng lượng và nuôi dưỡng cơ thể, đặc biệt là sự tăng trưởng và phát triển của trẻ em. Do đó việc bảo quản sữa là vô cùng quan trọng. Vì vậy mà việc lắp đặt bảo quản kho sữa thật sự cần thiết.

Ngày nay, nhu cầu sử dụng sữa của người tiêu dùng ngày một nâng cao bởi nó là một sản phẩm giàu dinh dưỡng giúp cho sự phát triển của con người tuy nhiên sữa lại có một nhược điểm chính là nhanh hỏng đặc biệt là trong điều kiện thời tiết khí hậu nhiệt đới ẩm gió mùa như ở Việt Nam. Như chúng ta đã biết sữa mới vắt ra ở nhiệt độ 35-37 độ C và dù có tuân thủ chặt chẽ điều kiện vệ sinh vắt sữa đến đâu thì trong sữa vẫn luôn có một lượng vi khuẩn nhất định. Các vi khuẩn này phát triển và nhân lên nhanh chóng, làm cho sữa bị chua và hỏng. Vì vậy cần phải lắp đặt bảo quản kho sữa để có thể kéo dài thời gian sử dụng sữa là rất cần thiết. Việc lắp đặt bảo quản kho sữa sẽ giúp cho nhà sản xuất bảo quản được chất lượng của sữa nhờ vậy mà khi mang ra thị trường sẽ không bị ép giá, hạ giá của sản phẩm.

Cũng giống như các loại kho lạnh khác, kho lạnh bảo quản sữa được thiết kế kín để có thể lưu trữ được lâu dài chất lượng của sữa. Kho lạnh bảo quản sữa được làm từ vật liệu cách điện với độ dày cách nhiệt tương ứng là 100 mm, 150 mm , 200 mm, 250 mm. Kho lạnh bảo quản sữa sử dụng thiết bị làm lạnh bằng đơn vị ngưng tụ BitZer. Cấu hình thiết bị bao gồm: Thiết bị ngưng tụ, máy tách khí và chất lỏng, máy tách dầu, bể chứa nước, kính thủy lỏng, dây van cuộn từ tính, thiết bị đo áp xuất, bộ lọc, áp xuất dầu…Nhiệt độ kho lạnh bảo quản sữa luôn  yêu cầu được giữ ở nhiệt độ 20c – 50c để có thể tạo được môi trường tốt nhất bảo quản sản phẩm.

Một số lưu ý khi lắp đặt bảo quản kho sữa:

• Về kích thước: nên tính toán trọng lượng của hàng hóa để trong kho cần phải chứa số lượng hay trọng lượng là bao nhiêu để có thể lắp đặt được kho lạnh phù hợp với nhu cầu sử dụng.

• Khi lắp đặt kho lạnh bảo quản cần chú ý đến nhiệt độ yêu cầu của sản phẩm, nhiệt độ yêu cầu là 2-5˚C để đảm bảo chất lượng sữa không bị ảnh hưởng trong thời gian bảo quản, tránh việc vi khuẩn xâm nhập.

• Cần vệ sinh kho lạnh đúng cách, đúng thời gian quy định. Việc vệ sinh đúng kỹ thuật sẽ mang đến hiệu quả tối ưu khi bảo quản sữa, có thể tiết kiệm chi phí cho doanh nghiệp.
